One of the first sets I started collecting. Designed in 1971 by artists Carla Nencioni and Armando Moleri, first spotted on the cover of “Modern European Cutlery Design 1948–2000”. Produced in Italy by Zani & Zani in Toscolano Maderno, Brescia. What I like most is the contrast: the knife milled from a solid stainless-steel rod, the fork and spoon reduced to simple tubular shapes that nest quietly around it. Everything pared back to essentials — calm, efficient, almost tool-like — yet with a peaceful beauty that comes from showing the material in its most elementary form.
